In a report published by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Mexico, it has been stated that 73 thousand 201 people have been lost in Mexico in the last 56 years and 3 thousand 978 hidden tombs have been identified.
According to the news published in the country, Population and Immigration Counselor Alejandro Encinas said, “Since the sixties, we have reported 73,201 people missing since the first registration,” he said.
MORE THAN 300 THOUSAND DIED
In Mexico, the number of people who lost their lives in the wave of violence initiated in 2006 by the President Felipe Calderon against the cartels and the succession of his successor Enrique Pena Nieto, more than 340 thousand Mexicans were displaced.
In the country of 120 million inhabitants, 35 thousand 964 murders were committed in 2018, most of which were linked to drug cartels.
